About the guide

You will be accompanied by a professional knowledgeable guide, offering expert insight and a personal touch to your journey through Óbidos, Ericeira & Mafra.

Overview of your tour

In the morning, depart Lisbon with your guide and head to Óbidos. This small town is built inside a castle’s walls, and you will love its cobbled streets and colourful houses. Walk with your guide in Óbidos as he tells you about the events in Óbidos. Visit Santa Maria’s Church and admire the works of a famous female painter that lived in Óbidos. After your guided walk in Óbidos, have a taste of Ginjinha, our favourite cherry liquor and enjoy some free time to explore the numerous shops of Óbidos.

Enjoy a lunch stop in Ericeira – the World’s Surfing Reserve. Ericeira is home to some of the best seafood restaurants, and your guide will suggest some good places to eat. Soak in the landscape of Ericeira and walk on the beach.

After lunch, enjoy a drive through the countryside heading to Mafra, hearing all about the products and life in the region. In Mafra, enjoy a guided visit to the Mafra National Palace, and learn about life in Portugal in the 18th century.
Return to your hotel in Lisbon at 4:30 PM.
